Members in the Spotlight

Two of our members have their work showing around town…Vista Mahan and Jackie Cory.

Vista has a quilted wall hanging showing in a multi-media art exhibit with the theme of "Wings". This juried show opened on August 14, 2014 and will run through September 29, 2014 at The Jewish Cultural Center. Twenty-nine artists from the southeastern United States and Israel were selected from the entries. The art work includes photographs, drawings, paintings, prints, and fiber art.

Jackie has four of her "Altered Books" showing at a fine art show celebrating books and their readers at Reflections Gallery. This exhibit opens on Thursday, August 28, 2014 with a opening reception from 4:00—7:00 p.m. and will run through October 23, 2014. Jackie will be presenting a "Altered Book" workshop during the Chattanooga Gallery Hop on September 6, from 2:00—5:00 p.m., also at the Reflections Gallery.
